Katha Cato Quilts
Scraps of this and that, t-shirts from the walk for the cure, that cool little black velvet little jacket, a pile of colorful neck-ties come together to create a fabric mosaic of our lives. I don’t use patterns, letting the fabric inform me, how it wants to fold, how it wants to lay. I love pulling the needle back and forth through the fabric and seating the stitch just so. My thumb is the guide, index fingers on both hands have the smallest of calluses due to constant pricking and nicking. I have made about 30 quilts, given most of them away, knowing that those pieces of this and that will be incorporated into a new life.
