A visit to the Catos’ home/office/studio is a trip through a textured landscape. Tables covered with slide trays, piles of barbies, vintage factory bulbs and broken crockery are next to bins of velvet, piles of reclaimed kitchen drawers and carefully sorted rusting nails. While either Cato works within a different medium, both create work that is extremely detailed and at times defiant.
